I've been cleaning my bedroom.
... well, okay this consists more of moving stuff out of the way so I can get at the carpet, scanning it obsessively for stray beads and bits of beading wire, picking out little bits that are stilll too big for the vaccuum cleaner, then running it then running the carpet cleaner. There were thick clumps of what looked like dust, and the water that the machine sprayed into the carpet then sucked back up was... it was basically black. That was two-thirds of the carpet, more or less didn't think to do the edges until a little too late... so tomorrow, I'll be working on the edges and the rest. More gross clumps of carpet matter and disturbingly black water... awesome! |

Man I just noticed
There's a swastika/twisted cross/whatever on this computer desk. It's really obvious we got it from a high school. Ha. edit: I'm going to try to get rid of it when I can, I think. Not sure how yet, though. (not very experienced with wordworking, after all.) |

I think I have too many video games.
Not even new/relatively recent games either - old-as-fuck shit like Star Ocean 2 and whatever. I haven't even played them in years and yet I still keep them around. Maybe what I'll do is play the fuck out of them and get through the game as swiftly and as expediently as possible and then, I dunno. Give them to friends or to charity or whatever. I mean, I doubt that there's much resale value - never know, though... maybe some of you will have a decent idea. I don't have a great video library, but I still have way too many, I think. I won't keep a log of all the video games I play and beat like some people I've seen do, though. |

I was feeling a bit defeated, as if a dragon or a mechanical creature or a floating orb swirling with white and purple and black had just surprised my party and laid it down with a mass attack that dealt 9999 damage across the board. My cell phone's battery ran low in Portland at roughly 6 AM. When I tried to recharge it in the Seattle Greyhound station, it didn't work. I was a little freaked out and missed my bus to Everett. The next bus out to Everett was two hours later AND it was slower going than it should be*. So, not only was I at least four hours late - but I was out of contact with people for over twelve hours, likely causing them to worry about me. Excellent! ... but I soldiered on, and now I am at my destination and people have been informed that I am here and fine. Now, I'm actually feeling pretty good. * - Rush hour and gridlock are totally cool. I sure wish we had LOTS more of it. |
